What is included in a Sitra station?

A station brings together a pad dispenser, individually wrapped pads, a covered disposal bin, disposal bags and clear instructions. These components may sit in different suitable positions within the washroom so that access and disposal are both convenient and private.

Do women pay to take a pad?

No. Pads at Sitra stations are free to use, with no payment, account or explanation of need required.

What will our facilities team need to do?

Your team provides a site contact, access to the facilities and the policies we need to follow. Sitra manages the station kits, supplies, refills, upkeep and waste collection, and keeps your contact informed about the service.

What happens if supplies run low or a delivery is delayed?

Our team monitors stock and plans refills around use. If a shortage or delay occurs, we follow it up, keep your site contact informed and arrange a suitable response, such as an earlier refill or reserve supply.

Does Sitra handle disposal as well as supply?

Yes. The managed service covers pads, covered bins, disposal bags and waste collection. We work within your institution’s procedures and the appropriate local waste arrangements, including existing approved contractors where suitable.

How does Sitra’s one-for-one commitment work?

For every pad your institution orders, Sitra will provide one pad free to schoolgirls in rural communities in your institution’s country. 100 pads ordered. 100 pads provided free.

Does someone need an account or ID to take a pad?

No account, personal ID or explanation of need is required for standard station access. Pads are provided free at the point of use.

How can we prepare for an initial conversation?

Use the site brief planner to record your institution, location, washrooms and existing provision. It gives you a useful starting point even if you do not yet know every detail. The planner creates a draft in your browser that you can download or print. Completing it does not automatically send it to Sitra. You decide whether to share the brief, and you can revise it as your needs become clearer.
